EFFECTS IN PREMIERE PRO

THE SOUND

The print screen below shows the editing we had to do during the trailer where the sound from the actual clip was unheard during the song playing. This is where we dipped the sound like they do in proffesional clips in order to hear both the underlying song and the dialogue.

We did this by clicking on the audio controls and finding the little orange/yellow markers and moving them up and down to change the volume. We also added audio gain to the clips that werent loud enough..

TRIPLE CROP SCENE

This is where we used a synchonised triple scene that went with the music. The three diagonal scenes go one by one from the top left corner to the bottom right corner whilst each clips plays the scene, and shows the card being dealt, the three individual cards; one after another. We had to use three different video layers in order to do this and crop the clip size to make it look normal.

THE TITLE

Both titles are in red with a faded blue layer behind them. This shows a bit of mise-en-scene as red is the colour of the diamond cards as well as blood, all the characters have experienced a fight (figurativley or literally) and all the characters have experienced a loss, whether a loss of a family member or loss of money. The colour also correlates with the magazine and the poster..

The black and white effect also came in handy as in singles the title out to look clearer and look sleak with the freeze frame hold as well.

we did this by slicing the scene then by using a 'freeze hold' on the scene and then extending and increasing the 'speed duration' of the scene over 100%.

Me and Greg did this on every title scene and then added the title by going through FILE, NEW, TITLE. then we chose the font and we simply copied it to the scene.

THE ENDING TITLE

We give the title of Diamond Flush as well as the marketing release date for the film, with the website name after it. The advertisement of this film from a business point of view is vital which is why all aspects need to be covered of the promotion spectrum. The end of the trailer is key, as is the magazine and the poster.

This was done similarly to the titles before. We just extended the duration and we had our final clip!
