Magazine cover - Fonts

in order to get fonts we had to use a website in particular called DaFont.com which helped us greatly to design our magazine cover.

the fundamental choice of fonts wouldnt have suited the look we had imagined, which is why we chose to download new ones and use them on our cover, and eventually use them in the inside layout of our megazine article.
The Following picture dislays the different effects and tools we had to use.
The Most popular ones being:
  • the arrow which helped us to move objects and adjust them as we needed.
  • the brush which we used to obviously paint and fill in certain areas
  • the healing brush, got rid of any impurities especially the floor of the studio which was filled with unattractive marks and lines
  • the blur tool helped other areas that didnt blend in to look more authentic and real
The following picture shows the 'Blending option' which was given when right clicking on a layer. this was especcially helpful when using fonts since most fonts looked very dull without some sort of effect. The most common effects to incorporate were:
  • drop shadow
  • outer glow
  • colour overlay
This was the right click funtion on a layer. We seemed to use the Blending option a lott for fonts and shapes, but we also used 'Rastersized Type' when ammended or augmenting to something we had already created. We always knew that if a Rastersize bulletin came up we could sort it out, although we never found out what rastersize actually did.
