We then choose which out of these monkeys we wanted to use and drew them as a band.

We imported the monkey drawing into photoshop using a scanner.
We then cropped out each monkey individually to separate them.

Using the magic eraser tool we deleted the white background.
The monkey’s leg disappeared when trying to delete one section of background so we used a pencil to fill in the gap and then the background could be deleted.

We used the paint fill tool to fill in the colour of the monkeys and then using the pencil tool in black we outlined the monkey and its features to make it stand out a little better.

We did this with each monkey ensuring that we used the same colour for each one and exported them as “.tif” files so that the backgrounds of each wouldn’t fill in white.

We then opened the template of the blank CD cover and transferred each monkey across by dragging them. After positioning them we chose the font “Kings Extortion” from the website “dafont.com” in order to create a fun text for the band name.

We also chose the font for the album to name to be “Chubby Cheeks” as this also was quite a fun font and it didn’t contrast too much with the band name.

We thought the background looked quite good white and therefore to make it look less plain we made the main background black and inserted a white rounded off square on to the front and back to create a border.

We then duplicated the band name from the front cover and resized it to make it smaller for the back cover.

To make it more like a back cover we added the bar code and the credits
For the inside pages of the album cover we used different ranges of shots in order to create variation of each page and make it look interesting. We selected which photos that we had taken would be the most appropriate.
For example
We imported each image onto a separate CD cover template and made adjustments such as resizing and positioning the image to make it look effective. At this point we then made changes to the image colour by using photo filters, making the image black and white or adjusting settings such as vibrance and exposure.
We had to edit of of the pictures to take a person out of it as the picture was a good shot if the other person was taken out of it. Therefore using the clone stamp tool in Adobe Photoshop we copied the background of another part of the picture over then person to make it seem that she wasn't there.

In order for the text to stand out and be legible we had to add a stroke to it which we adjusted dependent on each back ground picture.
We also adjusted the transparency of the back ground pictures in order to make the text clearer.

For the CD spine we used the same background as the front and back cover by having a white rounded box on a black background.

We cropped the heads off all three of the monkeys and added them to the CD spine in a vertical line.

We then put the album name next to the band name and again rotated it.
