Choosing the task

Out of all the 13 options for coursework, we narrowed it down to 2 options.
1. The Short Film
2. The Music Video

We then came up with ideas for each task to see which would be the most effective to do.

We thought of doing a ‘Back to the Future’ style film. We thought this would be good because it is a well known film that the audience would be able to relate to. However, we decided this idea would not be the best choice as it would be difficult to actually do, and we did not want to recreate something too similar to the original.

We then thought of different stories that would fit to songs each of us liked.

After coming up with a lot more ideas for a music video, we decided this would be the better choice.
Out of the 3 options to go with our music video, we chose the album cover and the magazine advertisement.

All 4 members of our group have a similar music taste which made it easy to choose a genre and think of songs, as we all knew or had heard the songs others thought of.
We decided on the Indie genre. We thought this would be good because our main character’s image fit well into this genre.
